Nissan Beach Buggy Concept

With heat waves directly on us in the northern hemisphere, and with most auto executives away on vacation, this Nissan concept provided by Fernando Andrade  screams of summer.

Andrade was quoted as using influences from fluid architecture representing the Rio de Janeiro landscapes of Brazil. Up front, Andrade’s concept shares some of the new designs found in the 2016 Nissan Maxima, including the use of the double-V-shaped grille. At the back, the concept sports an open architecture which makes use of a glass canopy that encloses the buggy’s storage rack.

Andrade made no mention of its source of propulsion, and with any other manufacturer, it would certainly be up for grabs. But with Carlos Ghosn lead Nissan, c’mon, you know this baby is electric! Well we would hope so anyway.

Looking at this concept, we can smell the beach and hear Mungo Jerry oozing from its call to be born electric!

Life's for livin, yeah that's our philosophy

Life’s for livin, yeah that’s our philosophy

We’re no threat, people
We’re not dirty, we’re not mean
We love everybody but we do as we please
When the weather’s fine
We go fishin’ or go swimmin’ in the sea
We’re always happy
Life’s for livin’ yeah, that’s our philosophy … Chh chh-chh, uh

Huh! The sun has gone on holidays and traveled the world but here!

I wonder what happened to their Esflow. I miss it dearly. It went exactly the same with the Survolt.

Nissan talks a good game, but craps out every time. Bladeglider, anyone? Esflow?

I don’t believe a word out of Nissan’s mouth. And won’t until they prove me wrong.

So is this a Nissan concept, or an Andrade concept, like so many concepts being shown for the Tesla 3 by people who have no affiliation with Tesla?

No, not like any of those. This concept actually looks very nice.

Beach baby, Beach Baby give me your hand
Give me somethin’ that I can remember
Just like before we can walk by the shore in the moonlight
Beach baby, Beach baby there on the sand
From July ’till the end of September
Surfin’ was fun, we’d be out in the sun every day

Nissan, Just build a 2 door(2+2) fastback electric sportscar that is a modern iteration of the Fairlady(Z) or Silvia(240sx).

I have an R32 GTR and a R35 GTR. Bought a LEAF in October 2014 that I love but really wish Nissan could come up with an electric sport car. That would be the only way to prevent me from buying a Model S as my next car.

Turn it upside down & its a surfboard?

Lets build that on a vw bug chassis with a subaru wrx engine
😉 i feel a New project comming up haha
