One in 40 new cars registered in Western Europe in June 2019 was all-electric.
The Western European all-electric car market is booming this year as sales in two consecutive quarters amounted around 80,000.
Q2, with 79,800 new registrations, was slightly below the record Q1 of more than 80,000, but the growth rate of 84% year-over-year is amazing.
In June, BEV sales doubled, reaching the highest growth rate for five years (March 2014) and 2.5% market share.
With some 160,000 BEVs and under 250,000 plug-ins sold in the first half of this year, the 2019 is on track for 300,000 BEV and 500,000 plug-in car sales.
