Who knew that Tesla's Autonomy Day presentation would run nearly four hours? Clearly the automaker has been banking up information and making loads of progress. Its decision to finally share the details resulted in an epic showing of technology, along with live demos.
Needless to say, this is a very hot topic this week, not only in the electric car space, but far beyond. Fortunately, Tesla released a much shorter video of the actual self-driving car. In addition to Tesla's lengthy rebroadcast of Autonomy Day, there are many videos out there recapping and discussing the special event (which we've included below).
As you may be well aware, we've linked up with Sean Mitchell on a regular basis, as we appreciate his well-researched coverage. In this recent episode, he joins hands with Matt Joyce for a detailed discussion of Tesla's self-driving efforts.
Who is Matt Joyce? Well, he's actually a Lebanese garlic dip salesman. However, aside from being an entrepreneur in the food space, Joyce also contributes as an analyst for Loup Ventures. If you're not familiar with Loup, it's a research-driven venture capital outfit that relies on Gene Munster as one of its managing partners. You can read Loup Ventures' takeaways from the event by clicking here.
At any rate, check out the above video with Mitchell's and Joyce's takeaways from the event. Then, watch some additional videos below.
