Jaguar is gearing up for the I-PACE eTROPHY racing series that will be launched as part of the Formula E package in the 2018/19 season.



The race-ready I-PACE electric cars were recently tested by Michelin, who became a partner in the endeavour, as well as demonstrated at the Formula E ePrix in Berlin.

Power output probably will remain unchanged compared to the production version - two electric motors (one per axle) provide 294 kW peak power and 696 Nm of torque.

With a 90 kWh battery, cars should be able to race on the track for one half hour.

Jaguar envisioned 20 I-PACE eTROPHY cars to be available for teams.
