Effective today, some versions of the Tesla Model S and Model X are slightly more expensive.

But a week or so ago, other versions of the Model S saw a substantial price cut.

The big news came a week ago when Tesla unexpectedly lopped $5,000 off the two cheapest versions of the Model S (75 and 75D). This came as Tesla eliminated the lowest-level Model S (60) and as the automaker restructured pricing on the battery upgrade from 60 to 75 kWh.

It's not all discounts though.

Tesla recently released what we'll refer to as a "charting the changes" statement. With all the available versions of the Model S and X, it's actually rather difficult to keep track of the constant tweaks and changes made by Tesla. So, here's a look at the new pricing, with notations made where price changes go into effect today.
