Hyundai IONIQ Electric
Netherlands is an interesting country for EV adoption in many ways, but especially from the charging infrastructure outlook.
Obviously, one of the most well known projects is the Fastned charging network, one of the world's premium fast charging providers, set-up along highways all over the country, but there are also other bold endeavors.
For example, the Municipality of Rotterdam, together with 16 other municipalities in the surrounding area, have decided to install 4,000 more charging points by 2018.
4,000 is more public charging points than many countries have.
"Earlier this year, along with 16 other municipalities, the Municipality of Rotterdam put together a comprehensive tender for adding more charging stations to the streets: an extension of up to 4,000 new charging points for electric cars in its entire concession area, of which 1,800 in the City of Rotterdam."
ENGIE Services was awarded the contract to deployment, management and operation of the stations.
