Evatran Introduces 7.2 kW Plugless Charging For BMW i3 - Video
Evatran recently introduced its Plugless wireless charging station for the BMW i3. Deliveries are expected to begin in mid-2017.
Evatran has introduced its Plugless wireless charging station for another electric car - this time for the BMW i3.
Both versions of i3 (with or without range extender) can be equipped with the 7.2 kW system, which according to the company translates to 20-25 miles of range recharged per hour.
But the price to not plug-in doesn't come all that cheap, with the MSRP set at $3,499 with a $250 refundable reservation deposit.
Shipping of the product is scheduled for June 2017.
Evatran encourages that installation is seamless, and you can always return at not cost for the first 45-days for any reason:
- Fully reversible installation with no effect on BMW warranty
- No change to BMW i3 visual aesthetic or ground clearance
- No change to i3 systems, software, or ability to charge with plug when traveling
