Timeslips Show Multiple 10.-Second Runs

Some 9 months ago, Motor Trend tested the Tesla Model S P90DL on the track and discovered that it could actually fly down the 1/4-mile in 10.9 seconds.

That 10.9-second time stood until just days ago when a Tesla Model S P90DL ran a 10.804 @121.99 at the Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina. We should note that this Model S has the refreshed front fascia, which may have aided in dropping that extra tenth of the time.

As DragTimes states:

"A refreshed Tesla Model S P90D Ludicrous driven the The Tesla Racing Channel just ran 10.804 @ 121.99 MPH in the 1/4 Mile at Rockingham Dragway in NC. With a 60′ time of just 1.57 this Tesla is running 0-60 MPH in the 2.6 range and the 10.8 run was just one of many 10.8x runs for the Tesla that night."

Though Motor Trend claims it ran a 10.9 in the Model S, that run was not documented, so this 10.804 time becomes the first fully documented 10-second pass in a Model S.
