2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is one of the stars of the 2016 New York International Auto Show.

Thanks to SuperCarTube we get a good exterior and interior walkaround oif the US-spec'd plug-in SUV, with a lot of close look details.

After the 2016 refresh that bumped sales both in Japan and Europe, the Outlander PHEV is pretty attractive proposition.

According to Mitsubishi it will be also affordable car for Americans, so we'll keep our fingers crossed for great value proposition when pricing is announced soon.

The 12 kWh battery could still probably larger for many Amercians longer driving profile, we expect a ~22 miles/35 km real world/EPA rating for the Mitsu, but something along the lines of 16 kWh would improve the value proposition by bumping that up to ~30 miles and also by receiving the full $7,500 federal incentive.

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV arrives this Fall, and while it is true that the market splash for the plug-in will not be as big as in could be few years ago, it's a more than decent utility vehicle (with AWD) and still finds itself with only indirect plug-in competitors.
