The BMW 740Le iPerformance made its debut at the recent Geneva Motor Show.

BMW is using this vehicle as well as the BMW M760Li xDrive to represent the company's transition of technology from the i Division to the BMW Core brand.

All BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles will bear the iPerformance model designation, the i logo on the front fenders, and the eDrive logo on the c-pillars. This is following the same concept that BMW has shown with the M Performance badge, showing technology transition from BMW M to the Core brand.

The car comes with a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine coupled with an electric motor. It is rear wheel drive with the option of AWD. Combined engine and motor boast 326 hp and 112 MPG. With the turbo engaged, it hits 62 mph in 5.6 seconds. The car can travel 40 km NEDC (25 miles) on electric only, up to 87 MPH.
