Renault scored in June its second best month of electric vehicle sales (data is preliminary, so we don't know exactly which peak is higher).
With 3,006 cars and 289 Twizy for a total 3,295, the French manufacturer can be happy because year-over-year growth reached 87% for cars and 72% for all EVs (including Twizy).
Strong sales growth in Europe (where most Renault EVs are sold) should continue as in June the company noted a record number of orders.
In total, Renault delivered about 11,500 EVs so far this year, while in the whole of 2014 it sold 18,000.

The largest part of the Renault's pie belongs to ZOE, which achieved 10 months of uninterrupted growth, often by 100% year-over-year. Some 2,500 were sold in June, around 1,000 more than the second best Nissan LEAF.
With over 28,000 ZOE sold in 2.5 years and over 8,000 in the last six months, ZOE continues its pursuit of the Nissan LEAF as the best selling all-electric car in Europe (LEAF is now heading for 45,000).
