BEV Registrations in France – January 2016
France didn't slow down at all after its record December plug-in sales and some 47% growth in 2015.
Pure electric car sales again increased, by 85% year-over year to 1,669 in January (1,384 passenger and 285 commercial vehicles).
Overall market share for BEVs stands at 1%.
Renault ZOE, recently crowned the best selling all-electric car in Europe, nearly tripled its January performance to 735 (53% of all passenger BEVs).
Attention is drawn also by the unexpected Peugeot iOn surge to 165, enough for the third place just behind the 179 Nissan LEAFs sold.
Tesla Model S increased by 42% year-over-year, but the volume of 37 is still pretty small for such a big country.
