Proton, a Malaysian carmaker, recently presented at the 2015 International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia the electric version of its Iriz model.

With a 39.6 kWh battery pack (featuring LG Chem cells), Proton Iriz EV can go up to 300 km (186 miles) under NEDC.

Also, the 116 kW/360 Nm electric motor enables decent acceleration of 0-62 mph (100 kmh) in 9 seconds. Top speed is 150 km/h (93 mph).

Charging seems to be copied from the Nissan LEAF - 6.6 kW on-board and 50 kW DC (probably CHAdeMO, as there is no info). From 40% to full charge takes 15 minutes, according to the article.

It's expected that production of Iriz EV could materialize by the end of 2016/early 2017.
