In Norway, plug-in electric passenger cars had about 20.9% market share in August - the bulk of them (17.2%) were all-electric cars.
In total, sales grew last month by nearly 41% to 2,634 (2,166 BEVs), which doesn't include 32 vans, and a total of 575 used imported plug-ins.
The most popular model in Norway is the Volkswagen e-Golf, although Tesla Model S with 3,116 registrations managed to hold second spot in overall ranking.
The Nissan LEAF is in 3rd with 2,118 registrations, while the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV ends up in 4th with 1,142 tallies though the first 8 months.
