Renault seems to be hitting its electric car stride right now. According to the automaker, it logged its highest-ever, single-month orders for electric cars in April.
A remarkable 3,450 Renault EVs were ordered in April, including an all-time high 2,950 Renault ZOEs.
Awhile back, Renault was struggling to sell its electric cars, but ever since the automaker made the ZOE available with the battery, sales seem to have taken off. We do believe that this decision to make the battery available with the car (rather than by leasing battery only) is the real difference make in sales for Renault. Initial reaction to this was strong and it seems that by including the battery with the car, Renault turned around its slumping electric car sales.
