CR's Tesla Model S P85D ready for action!

CR's Tesla Model S P85D ready for action!

You may have already seen that Consumer Reports just recently picked up its own Tesla Model S P85D.

As you probably already know, the P85D accelerates from 0-60 mph in only 3.1 seconds.

Thus, Consumer Reports wonders, "Is The Tesla Model S P85D The Quickest Car Ever?"

Of course, there are a few super cars that cost over $1 million dollars that are specifically built to go from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds; but remember, the P85D weighs nearly 5,000 lbs and it's a family sedan.

Though the P85D is not your typical sedan and it's not the quickest car in the world, Consumer Reports sums up the intense acceleration likes this:

"A sudden downward twitch of your right foot, and the rush of blood to the head happens far too quickly for your brain and body to respond in sentient fashion. A lifetime of experience that such powerful forces must be accompanied by raging sound and fury is denounced by silence. You become divorced from logical thought. It takes actual conscious action to keep yourself from reaching for the door in a panic, to eject yourself from this silent maelstrom. It is frightening, gleeful punishment.

It's been nearly 24 hours since the Tesla abused me so, and in jogging my memory to type these passages, my hands are visibly shaking…."
