While we wait patiently for any news of some rumored last-minute dark-horse entry to join the grid at the 2015 Isle of Man TT Zero, details on the front-runners are coming to the surface.  After a radio-silent unveiling this past weekend, Saroléa has finally released specs on its contender (via press release):

...while Mugen announced the "Shinden Yon"  (hint: means "moar power", more or less) with John McGuinness and Bruce Anstey again riding this year.

If you remember, McGuinness pulled a little over 117mph last year, breaking the track record for electrics.

The bikes are coming in at a 10% increase in power, with a 110-kW (147hp), 162.24 ft/lb motor and weighing in at 250-kg (551lb). No word on the pack, or whether it can deliver the power to match the motor, though with the slight weight increase we'd be guessing yes.

At this point, the contenders are weighing in spec-wise at just about how they placed last year.  Shinden placed 1st and 2nd, the Buckeye bike 3rd (a no-show this year), Sarolea in 4th and Vercar Moto checked in at 5th.  At a certain point, however, the IOM TT pits skills rather than specs...  we'll soon see if we've reached that point in electric race-bike performance.
