January brings further growth of all-electric car sales in France.

903 new registrations is some 54% more than in January 2014 and 17% more than in January 2013.

Over two-thirds of registrations were passenger cars - 620, while light delivery cars had 283 registrations.

Both categories grew this time 52% and 60% respectively.

The structure of the market didn't change as Renault ZOE held 42% of all passenger BEV sales.

With 261 registrations, ZOE sales grew by 154% year-over-year.

Bollore Bluecar is second best with 120 registrations as more and more of those cars are used for car sharing in France.

Nissan LEAF was third this time, while all of the other models combined for just a tiny scrap of the market.

On the light delivery vehicles side, Renault Kangoo Z.E. led the way with 68 registrations.

Plug-in hybrids, which don't get as much incentives as pure electric, had a strong month with 182 registrations.

Surprising is that the Volkswagen Golf GTE, with 69 units registered, was able to overtake the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
