If offered the rare, exclusive chance to test drive both the BMW i3 and BMW i8, you'd jump at it, right?
Well, that's exactly what Wheels Australia was offered (first ever BMW i3 and BMW i8 test drives in Australia), so naturally they "jumped at the chance."
"Genuine exclusives are rare. So when BMW said we could play with its new i3 and i8 -- the only two cars in the country -- we jumped at the chance."
The only lead in we'll provide is that Australia is not considered an electric vehicle hotbed, largely due to high price tags placed on plug-in vehicles sold there. Both the i3 and i8 will be extremely expensive in Australia, so we don't expect either to be popular there. However, BMW will sell both of its plug-ins in Australia.
