VW XL1 Advertisement
The Volkswagen XL1 is now available to order in the UK, though you need to act quickly if you'd like to secure one of the 30 XL1s planned for export to the UK.
According to Volkswagen, the XL1 carries a base price of £98,515 ($168,974 USD), which is certainly expensive, but already 6 UK-bound XL1s have been reserved (prior to the pricing announcement.)
So, there appears to be 24 XL1s left for the entire UK. That's out of a total production run of up to 250 VW XL1s, none of which will be sold/leased in the US.
However, you can't just go place a XL1 order. Rather, you can register interest in the vehicle. VW has the final say in who it selects to take delivery. Odd? yes, but that's how it works with this limited-production fuel-sipper.
The first XL1 destined for UK soil should arrive this Fall.
