Here's a rather amusing YouTube video in which we see the BMW i3's self-parking assist system in action.
Romanian rally driver Vali Porcisteanu demonstrates the i3's unique system by activating park assist, jamming the button (getting the button stuck in the down position) and exiting the vehicle through the window.
This is possible on the i3 because it does not require depressing the brake pedal for the self-parking system to function. Most self-park systems do require at least a slight depressing of the brake pedal in order to function.
We don't recommend that BMW i3 owners try this method of parking, but still it's fun to watch.
