Volkswagen e-up! went into production in 2013. Production of the electric version takes place together with three ICE versions - VW e-up , Škoda Citigo and SEAT Mii in Bratislava, Slovakia.
It’s unclear if we will see an electric e-Citigo or e-Mii, but at least with some delay it’s possible.
The video attached below shows the production process of e-up!, which at one stage we see it can even fly over the area on a cableway.
The shiny battery pack stores 18.7 kWh of energy, while electric motors reach 60 kW of peak power – enough to beat the performance of the triplets Mitsubishi i-MiEV, Peugeor iOn and Citroen C-Zero, but slightly lower than Renault ZOE’s 65 kW and 22 kWh.
Anyways, enjoy the video.
