Graph showing profile of charging locations across the UK regions: Zap-Map, June 2014
Zap Map is one of the latest maps of electric vehicles charging points. This one is focused only on the UK, but there's a useful set of options and color-info on type of the points (AC 3 kW, AC 7 22 kW, AC 43 kW or DC 50 kW).
"Zap-Map is a new website covering all aspects of charging points and electric vehicles. Building on our existing charging point map, the site now provides up-to-date information on owning and driving an electric vehicle (EV). Use our new Zap-Map search tools to help you find charge points compatible with your electric vehicle."
On the website we can find how many different charging networks currently operate in UK, which is a separate issue after finding the right power level and type of connector.
According to Zap Map, on June 18 there were 6,291 charging points at 2,579 locations. This includes 435 "rapid chargers" (we know that there are well over 200 CHAdeMO chargers officially and probably less than 20 Combo, plus one Tesla Supercharging station, so the rest must be 43 kW AC points).
