Tesla Model S
Only one plug-in vehicle made Road and Track's list of the "13 Best Cars Under $100,000" and, as expected, it's the Tesla Model S.
The Tesla Model S P85 to be precise.
The "13 Best" list is largely dominated by German automakers, but Tesla scored a spot for the reasons outlined below by Road and Track:
"The Tesla Model S is a world-class, American-built car that just happens to be powered by electricity. In P85 form, it also hauls ass. The 85-kWh batteries and 310-kW motor produce 416 hp and gobs of torque. We were able to get one to 60 in 4.1 seconds. And if you pull a fuse or two, you can do a massive burnout."
