Nissan LEAF and Renault ZOE
As of the end of October, the Nissan LEAF was Europe's top-selling plug-in vehicle.
With 8,895 units sold in the first ten months of 2013, the LEAF and 1,286 sold in the month of October, the LEAF grabs "top dog" billing, according to Eagle Aid.
Rounding out the top four (for October and year-to-date) is the Renault Zoe. Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid, and the Chevy Volt/Vauxhall Ampera/Opel Ampera.
Renault Zoe sales for the year are easily into the 7,000-unit plus range. Meanwhile, the Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid is at 3,547 while the Volt/Ampera family has logged somewhere in the 2,000-ish area for YTD sales.
It's clear that, in Europe, it's a two-dog race, but it seems the LEAF will come out as this year's winner.
