"In 1888, Bertha Benz embarked on the first automobile voyage in the history of mankind. Exactly 125 years later, launch the most innovative cars of our time by the IAA on a journey in the footsteps of the great German automobile pioneer."

That's the description that accompanies the video, but what's this Bertha Benz Challenge?  It's basically the German way of celebrating 125 years of motoring and the way it gets done today is by wheeling out some of the most innovative automobiles of our time.

Bertha Benz Challenge is seen as a global symbol of where the automobile world was back in 1888 and where it stands today.

Background info aside, what the video shows are the "pioneers of the new mobility."

More intriguing to us though is the collection of rare electrics seen and the sheer number of EVs that came out to participate.

The Challenge is only open to future-oriented vehicles with alternative drive systems, so you're guaranteed to see nothing but the most advanced vehicles the world has to offer.

Check out the video and let us know which vehicles grab your attention.  Can anyone out there name them all?
