Formula E is Truly Global
It's been years in the making, but the Formula E championship series is finally shaping up to become a legitimate racing event.
Formula E has all the host cities it needs for the inaugural season and now there's a tentative schedule for the racing event.
These dates and locations are nearly set in stone, provided that the FIA (the sanctioning body behind Formula E) signs off.
The tentative schedule shows that the first-ever Formula E event will take place in China on September 20, 2014. The 10-round series will end its inaugural season n London on June 27, 2015.
Two events are scheduled for the US, with races set for Los Angeles in February 2015 and for Miami in April 2015.
If Formula E is successful, then electric vehicles will certainly benefit. Never before have EVs took part in a racing series that will be televised globally, so this is a first and you can bet we'll be glued to the screen.
