Nissan LEAF Is Tracking In The Right Direction For September Sales
Shopping activity in the 2013 Nissan LEAF has increased by 120.3% this week according to KBB's most recent "Hot Car Report." That mark is the best of any production car - electric or otherwise.
Interest Continues To Also Grow In The BMW i3 Which Hits US Shores In Q2 of 2014
Given the electric Nissan's recent trend of continuing market improvement, and recent introduction of a certified used car program on the LEAF, it is not all that surprising a result.
However, finding the C-Max Energi in 3rd place, clocking a 26% gain is surprising. Perhaps this will be the month that the extended range Ford leaves the 500-600 vehicle sold level; and returns to the 4-digit glory it experienced at the end of 2012.
Also of interest, the BMW i3 which has recently garnered a lot of press via the IAA (Frankfurt Autoshow), took first place - up 28.3% - for activity growth in the "Intro and Redesigned Models" category; which could be taken as a sign of validation from anxious US consumers to own BMW's first production EV.
