The UK remains one of the strongest European markets for automotive sales with a 17th consecutive month of year-over-year gains.
Additionally, we see substantial growth in the plug-in (pure electric and plug-in hybrids) segment.
After the first seven months of 2013, registrations rose 70.7% from 1,104 units a year ago to 1,885 units in 2013.
Moreover, YTD numbers so far in 2012 are at 80% of 2012 full year volume and are 11 times higher than in 2010.
The rise in sales could be attributed to the fact that the UK is continuing to roll out infrastructure with more than 10,000 charging points already installed across the country.
