This Sunday, electric vehicles will be in the spotlight at the 35th annual Concours d’Elegance of America in Plymouth, Michigan.
Oldsmobile Electric History
Over 110 years of electric vehicle history will be on display for the first time ever at the annual event.
It's believed that the show will feature an 1889 Olds electric prototype, a 1911 Baker, the Chevy Volt and at least two dozen other electric vehicles, past and present.
Brian Joseph, owner automotive restoration company Classic & Exotic Service, told the Detroit Free Press:
"A lot of people don’t realize that the electric car came out well before the gasoline car, and for a while the electric outsold the gas car. And now, they’re back and better than ever."
