If it works as an ambulance, then why not give it a shot as a police cruiser.
Vauxhall Ampera Ambulance With Two Men Blocking Our View.
Two weeks back, the Vauxhall Ampera got readied up for ambulance service in the UK.
Not to be outdone, Northern Ireland just dressed an Ampera in proper gear for police duty.
Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI) now holds the keys to a lone Vauxhall Ampera. This plug-in vehicle will serve as an incident response vehicle in the city of Belfast.
Marcus Belshaw, head of transport for PSNI, stated:
"We’re looking forward to putting the revolutionary Ampera through its paces responding to incidents while also reducing our emissions and providing significant savings on fuel costs."
It's worth noting that most areas of Northern Ireland are a charging station paradise, with stations spaced at a distance of approximately 20 miles in most regions of the country.
