The Audi A3 e-tron, based on the Audi A3 TDI, has been seen testing in Colorado. According to Audi, the A3 e-tron will be tested through out the nation including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington DC. The purpose of the testing is for Audi can have a case study of American driving habits and how it affects the purchase of an EV.

Even though there are no plans as of yet to offer the A3 e-tron, the test mule has a 26 kW lithion-ion battery capable of producing 199 pound feet of torque with a range of 90 miles.
