Musk Tweets Image Of Model 3 Seats, Some White, & Production Video

Tesla CEO Elon Musk was busy on Twitter again over the past few days, this time sharing images and videos from inside the factory.

We’ve seen images all over social media lately showing parking lots packed with finished Tesla Model 3 vehicles waiting for delivery. Now, Musk has shared an image of a large number of seats, including a handful of the new white seats that will be installed into the Model 3 Performance, which is reportedly being manufactured on the new line housed in the now infamous Tesla “tent.”

We learned about a week ago that the first Model 3 Performance vehicle came off the new assembly line, which was about two weeks ahead of schedule. Based on all the tent coverage, as well as this new image of the white seats (which were also not planned for production until July), we can only assume that it wasn’t a “one and done” publicity photo. Instead, it appears that Tesla is moving forward with ongoing production of the Performance variant.

Musk has referenced something big looming as he’s made some comments about Tesla stock and short sellers. The fact that the automaker built a new line in a very short time, Model 3 Performance production is underway and the configurator is open, and now the automaker is making a big one-week push to get customers to place orders to secure free lifetime Premium Connectivity, we can only imagine that end-of-quarter orders could be monumental.

Musk has been dividing his time between the Tesla Fremont factory and the Gigafactory to personally assure that all is going as planned. During that time, he’s also posted other images and videos, including the following “sus” photo of the paint shop windows splattered with red paint, as well as another short production clip.

Range: 310 miles; 136/123 mpg-e. Still maintaining a long waiting list as production ramps up slowly, the new compact Tesla Model 3 sedan is a smaller and cheaper, but no less stylish, alternative, to the fledgling automaker’s popular Model S. This estimate is for a Model 3 with the “optional” (at $9,000) long-range battery, which is as of this writing still the only configuration available. The standard battery, which is expected to become available later in 2018, is estimated to run for 220 miles on a charge. It’s fun to watch Musk tweak the nay-sayers over and over again. He is the Ford of our age. Bear shorts are about to fall off again (pun intended).

It’s fun to watch Musk tweak his target dates over and over again 😉

But keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully they can do it by the end of the month.

Today starts the last week in 2018-06, Q2 & H1.
It does not matter whether Tesla hits their targeted 5,000 cars/week or just make 4,000 / week. Anyway they may not sell all these to prevent the 200,000 mark and instead just keep selling Model-S/X to get better revenues & returns.

But starting 2018-07-01, they may start selling as many as they can produce to maximize revenues & returns. That’s when the excitement starts.
