MG recently unveiled its Dynamo electric car on its 90-year anniversary.

Just like the Chinese original Roewe E50, the MG version looks okay, so we are posting more photos from the launch presentation.

“The Dynamo concept EV has been developed in order to fully understand European market demand for a small, electric MG.”

“The concept vehicle is the latest MG to be created at SAIC Motor’s state of the art European Design and Technical Centre (SMTC), located with MG Motor UK, at the Longbridge site in Birmingham.”

Looks like a cross between a Leaf and a Honda Fit EV.

I was thinking LEAF and Spark.

yes

Least they got the charge port location right!

This is not an MG. 🙁

Leark, Speaf? Sure…

+1

I assume that they state the 0-50km speed because it won’t make it to 100km.

Still if it is cheap it might be a good option for the city commuter. Every car doesn’t have to be a Tesla but I would probably have chosen a different brand, MG’s are supposed to be sports cars. I guess they own the brand not me.

“typical range: 80km (50 miles)”

Dead in the water. Unless it is very, very cheap.

Low speed and small projected range. Definitely shooting for the city commuter. Even the smart EV has 35% more range than this. They must be trying to compete with the G-Wiz with this one.

Nice looking little car, but a dynamo? Hardly.

Looks nice, but range is too low.

Any word on what plugs it uses for the fast charge?
