While few details exist at this time, confirmation of the C-Class PHEV is still music to our ears.

As one of Mercedes-Benz’ cheapest models, the C-Class is still an exceptional automobile and perfect for getting the plug-in treatment.

The all-new C-Class will enter production later this year.  It will be first sold as a Model year 2015 offering.

We’d guess that the PHEV will likely trail the launch of the standard C-Class by perhaps one year, so expect to see the PHEV C-Class first offered as a Model year 2016 vehicle.

No additional details on the PHEV C-Class are known at this time.

I agree Eric. The C-Class is an excellent candidate for the PHEV treatment. It wouldn’t be difficult at all to bake the extra cost into the price range of these cars.

I wonder if the 4 matic will be offered on the plug-in version….

I’d rather see a close to 200 miles per charge range. 4-matic … pffft.

  3. Ampera says:

Mercedes is so dumb. That C-Class should be their all electric car. Not ugly in any way, An appealing sedan and it could compete with the Tesla…. but no, lets choose the ugly european van and make it our all electric vehicle.

WHY THE HECK ISNT THAT ALL ELECTRIC SMH

Mercedes is European for, “Chevy”. 😉
