Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive – Live Images From 2014 LA Auto Show

NOV 20 2014 BY ERIC LOVEDAY 8

The 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show was not the green-car paradise it had been in years past.

Aside from the 2016 Chevy Volt reveal, held in an undisclosed location off site, there wasn’t much to pique the interest of the green crowd.

That’s not to say that plug-in vehicles weren’t on display.  Just that nothing new or of real importance was shown.

Regardless, we still have live shots of various vehicles from the show, which we’ll present throughout the day today and into tomorrow, starting with the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Electric Drive seen here.

Sorry, but I just don’t find this car attractive in the least. I know looks are subjective and have often been on the defensive side of people calling the Leaf or i3 ugly. But I honestly think the Leaf looks more attractive than this car, and the i3 looks WAY more attractive than this car.

Not that it’s ugly per se. Just very boring and plain looking. It won’t get noticed by anyone as it goes down the road. The i3 and Leaf, regardless of what people think about it, do at least get noticed.

for me, that wanted a good EV car and not make a scene, it was just perfect, a luxury car, EV, crossover AND just about 40k. Done deal!

The Exterior is plane simple, but the interior seems like a nice place to be

EVer

bland generic euro van

no one dreamed of driving something like this when they were a kid, what makes them think someone will want this

Hmmm… Who would want a comfortable ev with usable, practical space? Me for one. I bought an i3 and I really like it. However, if it had more room I could use it for more trips instead of taking my Jetta sportwagon. I’m not a kid anymore so it’s not just a dream for me, it’s transportation.

Nothing wrong with a roomy comfortable EV. I like the B Class looks since the first time I saw the ICE version in Europe

Levy

Same here! I actually bought one. And the point made that the ICE car sells really well in Germany is very good, because after all, besides the EV component, it is a nice dependable car. Since EV cars give even less maintenance than ICE, it can only be better….

Helpful info. Fortunate me I discovered your website by accident,
and I am shocked why this coincidence didn’t came about in advance!
I bookmarked it.
