UPDATE – Watch Lamborghini Huracan Seek Revenge Against Tesla Model S

APR 23 2018 BY ERIC LOVEDAY 10

A new day. A new challenger for the Tesla Model S P100D.

***UPDATE – DragTimes has removed this video from YouTube, so we’ve replaced it with another Tesla racing video.

We’ve just witnessed the Model S P100D take down the Dodge Demon with ease, but the Demon is old school in its methods and has some serious grip issues.

This matchup, which pits the Model S P100D against a Lamborghini Huracan Performante, seems like it should be a bit more fair.

The Lambo features a 640-horsepower, 5.2-liter V10. It employs a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Of course, it costs a fortune too and is extremely rare.

Meanwhile, the Model S P100D with Ludicrous has dual electric motors, all-wheel drive, 588 horsepower to the wheels, 920 pound-feet of torque and comfortable seating for 5, or even 7 in a pinch.

The Lamborghini lost this last time out. Does it get its revenge this time? Watch the video to find out.

When the Lambo driver wins, he can take his friend out to celebrate over a couple of beers; when the Tesla driver loses, he can take his whole basketball team out to cry over a pitcher.

Would be interesting to see the Lambo vs. the Roadster ver 2 when it’s out.

It’s OK to admit that a fine-tuned engine sounds awfully good. The Lambo won my heart with that exhaust symphony.

The first problem is 99.9% of ICE cars don’t sound as good as that Lambo. Subjective, of course.
The other problem is that unless I’m at a car meet I really don’t want to hear it. It’s noise pollution.

And… the video was (is) gone, faster than the Lambo, apparently.

Drag races are very boring.
You don’t have something like Nordschleife in America to show off nice cars?
Stuff like this?

Sorry but I don’t care about drag races, lets do this, Los Angeles CA to Portland OR, me in the big dino-Lambo, you in the glorified golf cart Tesla, regular road speeds, first one to Voodoo Donuts gets to repeatedly kick the other in the jewels. I’ll still win because even with superchargers (which are NOT evenly spread out) you will still have to waste half an hour recharging 5 times on the way up there. I will also have to refuel about as many times but I will only loose 25 minutes total versus 2-1/2 hours needed for charging, BTW somewhere in the middle of NorCal and then again in Oregon you’re going to need to find a supercharger, good luck with that. And everywhere else, hope some jackwagon hasn’t parked their Tesla at the charger then gone to work. E-cars only work for in-city driving, they are still highly impractical as long distance cruisers. This is why they will only be one part of the transit future, including hybrids, diesels, high mpg gas and yes muscle and super cars, they will not the be the end all do all the Muskovites keep ballyhooing they will be.
