Nissan France recently announced that the upcoming e-NV200 van in base version will cost without the battery pack just €6,890 in Upper Normandy, France.

This is just $9,550 and battery rental is set at €73 or $101 a month.

Why so cheap?  Well, Normandy now has additional incentives of €5,000 above the federal €6,300 and e-NV200 qualifies. Additionally, it seems there is some discount of €2,420.

If nothing changes, we should see surge of sales this summer in France, at last until incentives dry out.

Details of Nissan’s offer can be found here.

HT just means price w/o tax, TTC with tax (VAT).

They probably cite it HT to appeal to businesses who can obviously recover their VAT.

$1,200 a year; sounds like the Nissan never-never plan again. That’s the same deal they will give on replace batteries for used Leafs…no thanks!

And a much more important question in France: what does a Zoe cost in Normandy with all incentives factored in? Answer: a little over 10,000 euros. With battery rental starting at 49 euros, that is a very good deal.

Damn… If you could get it with the batteries included instead of renting them then I would get down to Normandy and get me a couple of EV’s 😛

If this doesn’t lead to a lot of EV’s sold there then I don’t know what will.
