In April, BYD Again Sold Over 13,000 Plug-In Electric Cars In China

In April, BYD’s plug-in electric car sales amounted to 13,105 In China, which is on par with March.

Compared to one year earlier, sales of New Energy Cars increased by 117% and accounted for 36% of total BYD sales.

Additionally, BYD delivered 287 Denza BEVs (JV with Daimler).

After four months of this year, BYD sold in China nearly 42,000 plug-in cars.

Only three models significantly participate in the sales results (e5 BEV, Song PHEV and Qin in BEV/PHEV versions). The Tang plug-in hybrid SUV is in like the silence before the storm, as consumers await the new version.

BYD sales breakdown:

  • e5 – 4,294
  • Qin PHEV – 4,134 + 1,363 BEV
  • Song PHEV – 3,137
  • Tang PHEV – 177

Good for BYD. Although to build that particular dream you have to live in China.

I’ve done well, had it for 2 weeks, and up 10%

71,700 + private plugin vehicles were sold in China last month. In addition another 10,300 + public (buses & trucks) plugin vehicles were sold for a total of 82,000 vehicles.

I hope the sales of heavy vehicles are also included in monthly dashboard in Worldwide sales.
