Mainstream media seems to be slowly coming around to the realization that electric vehicles are “here to stay.”

Remember when Fox News changed its stance on Tesla Motors almost overnight?

Now, the Huffington Post is getting on board.

“It’s the end of the beginning for the electric car.”

Says Huff Post writer Russ Blinch.

Blinch further says that it’s “obvious the electric vehicle, or EV, has taken a big right turn onto the broad freeway of acceptance” and then he lists these 3 reasons why the industry is taking off

  • Electric cars are increasingly affordable and reliable.
  • EVs are much cheaper to drive than gas-powered cars.
  • The infrastructure, where you power up your EV, is expanding.

Of course, we all know that the industry is growing.  Taking off?  Not exactly.  But it’s steadily growing and that’s all we can hope for right now.  The industry will eventually be massive, but like fine wine, that’ll require time.

They make some good points, but their angle is SO Fox!

Let’s just say that the industry is enjoying healthy growth for the moment.
