The Christmas/Holiday Season is a special time for those of us here at InsideEVs.com, as it is the day we get to write a cute little ditty wishing everyone all the best, while simultaneously enjoying the fact that this post will also double as the only story that we have to publish during the day.
Yes, December 25th is the only content-free day of the year here at the site, as everyone gets the day off to spend with family (as it should be).
Truth be told, no one is ‘minding the store’ here at all right now…heck, I didn’t even write this today, I wrote it two days ago, on December 23rd whilst observing Festivus. (So, this would probably be a good time to write profanities in the comments section if you are so inclined)
For those not aware of the Festivus tradition, I give you its history as explained briefly by Frank Costanza:
“Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reach for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way. Out of that, a new holiday was born. A Festivus for the rest of us.”
2012 was our first year in the business of reporting on plug-in EVs, and while we had originally hoped to “bring together some of the most knowledgeable, well-known insiders, writing in their field of expertise,” on many days you were stuck with likes of Lyle Dennis (don’t worry, he never reads anything he doesn’t write…so he’ll never know I said that), or the more recently added to the Inside EV family, Eric Loveday.
Yet despite my inability to write everyday, many people still made InsideEVs a daily stop during the year, and also made us the fastest growing automobile website for 2012*, and we thank-you for that.
On a serious note, we do wish all the best to you and yours this holiday season!
…from everyone at InsideEVs
(but mostly from me because I took the time to write this)
