Gray Tesla Model 3 Spotted

Add one more color to the Tesla Model 3 mix.

The latest Model 3 sighting, via Brian Armer on Twitter, shows us a never-before-seen color on the Model 3.

We’d call it a medium to medium-dark gray.

Armer states:

My first Model3 sighting!awesomeness confirmed

If gray is not to your liking, then perhaps one of the other colors we’ve seen on the 3 suit your tastes. Here’s the color rundown, pic-by-pic, for the Model 3:

It’s Midnight Silver, which should really come as no surprise since Model 3 shares a paint shop and all other colors with Model S and X.

Agreed. My X is this color. It’s a nice option.

Overall a significant and Nice looking car but it is butt ugly from behind.

Are you in to bigger and rounder behinds? To each their own. 😀

I agree the rear is the worst angle but it’s about 1000x better than the Leaf, Bolt, i3, etc.

There is nothing ugly about the rear. Don’t know what you’re seeing. Visit your nearest lens crafter

It’s the lack of exhaust outlets, isn’t it?

I cannot find a bad angle on the Model 3 or any Tesla for that Matter’s beautiful any way you look at it from all angles…I can’t wait to get mine! That’s my story & I’m sticking to it!

I call that “the same color as the road” gray.

How about, black as “the same color as new asphalt black.”
Or, silver, as “the same color as worn concrete silver.”
Or red as, “the same color as the scare movie seen in driver’s ed red.”

How about CA CA Brown… lol….as in …)(*&^%$#@!4 l m a o … they have a good selection of colors

Looks like rear visibility is compromised by the trunk design.

Elon Musk would say “You’re not going to care about rear visibility, or the the dash layout”.

He learned this trick from Obi-Wan Kenobi….”These aren’t the droids you’re looking for, move along, move along”.

Wife’s number one reason for not liking Volt amounted to C-Pillar (blind spot) obstruction. It’s a chronic issue, if you search the web. Rankings exist for visibility:

Giving consumers cameras, or less visibility, amounts to a bet they’ll put up with it. Sort of like offset, distracting touch screens 😉

How many cameras this thing got? Sonar? Radar? Blind spots should be a thing of the past in Tesla. Cue HAL2000 voice, “I’m sorry Dave, I can’t allow you to do that!”

That grey is my top choice closely followed by joint signature red or blue.

Yep. Black taillight treatment on the side (combined with charger port) is awkward at best on non-black cars.

Having it mostly black with a little chunk of red in the middle looks like someone used tint film to black out their taillights and left that little square to try to “be legal”.

Get it in black, camouflage that ugly stuff as best you can.

You seem to be making a big deal about something incredibly, almost imperceptibly, small.

Manufacturer plates and no Model 3 or battery size designations showing as would be normal on an S or X. It leaves us still wondering what exactly will these designations look like, IF they are even on the car.

Nice to see another color choice, even if it is not my preference.

I’m holding out for paisley, but I’ll settle for electric blue.

That’s one ugly butt. Not a dumpy butt like a Leaf, but still.

“Never before seen color”

Looks like a grey blob. Boring. All cars look like that. Boring. The whole world is boring with its blandness.

I don’t care what Jay says. Gray is the best color.

Because that’s the color of my Model S!

/so delusional

Don’t fear science George, embrace it. Black is the best, (=

And it does hide dirt.

Two weeks.. two weeks.

Is that a Kdawg selfie? ?

I wish!

But seriously, in 2 weeks all these questions will be answered… (hopefully)

(oh, and if you didn’t get the ref, google “total recall”)

The side shot of the Model 3 is best looking. Neither the front nor the back is all that attractive for sure.

Model S is still the best looking vehicle in the family lineup.
