Google Co-Founder Sergey Brin Took Delivery Of Fourth Tesla Model X

"Stand In For Sergey?"

“Stand In For Sergey?”

As TeslaMondo points out:

“At 27:43 you’ll hear Elon greet this woman by asking, “Stand-in for Sergey?” That’s a reference to his friend, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, according to Bloomberg. Apparently that Model X belongs to him.”

Brin attended the Model X launch event, but he didn’t approach the stage when the 4th Model X was handed over. Instead, a “stand-in for Sergey” took the keys from Musk.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk got Model X #01, while Tesla investor and board member, Steve Jurvetson, took delivery of Model X #02 (Jurvetson owns the first Model S, too).

The delivery part was poorly done, you had no idea who these people were or what options their cars had.

who cares who they are 😛 We just wanted to see the car 😛

Agreed. That part was just awkward. They should have had those folks parrot a prepared but quick statement.

Apple should buy a 49% stake with the added clause that they handle all public events. LOL

And there was only one microphone.

Haha! So true!

It’s a good thing that these vehicles sell themselves.

Seriously? Seriously, they were people with some serious coinage.

“founder’s edition” means that the cars were fully loaded. that’s why they cost $140,000 each. so if there is an option available for the Model X, it was in the cars that were delivered.

Pretty sure those were fully loaded…

That’s fine but now we want VIN #7-30000 to be delivered also…

Your reference is lost on me..

Tesla has reportedly only produced 6 Model X’s so far, the ones delivered in this clip. It’s time to get going on the other 30k units that they claim has been reserved.

I think the other under reported news is JB Straubel’s young family. Congratz JB!
