Formula E 24-Lap Simulation Run At Donington – Video
NOV 12 2014 BY MARK KANE
In between the first Formula E race in Beijing in China and the second round scheduled for November 22 in Putrajaya, Malaysia, organizers released video from the first race simulation at the Donington track, held in August.
As it turn out, despite this just being part of the test program, there was a lot of action on the track with many overtakings – something that always was a weak point of Formula 1.
The Summer simulation revealed however that Formula E reliability needs to improve, as many cars just rolled off the side of the track without power.
“Ahead of the very first Formula E race, we held a full event simulation at Donington. This included a 24-lap race, which you can watch here. Lots of things were being tested, so they are not consistent with our final product, but the on-track action is stunning. Enjoy”
