Fisker Investor Ray Lane Resigns From Board of Directors
MAY 29 2013 BY ERIC LOVEDAY
Fisker’s struggles continue to mount as potential buyers line up. Perhaps Henrik Fisker will get the automaker he founded back. Who knows?
What we do know though is that one of Fisker’s most vocal supporters is out.
Major investor and board of director member Ray Lane resigned from Fisker Automotive.
Ray Lane is a managing partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers. The presence of Lane and Kleiner Perkins were vital in Fisker’s ability to draw in private investors.
Lane alone made it his mission back in the day to drum up financial support for Fisker, but now that he’s gone, Fisker is left without one of its earliest investor and leading proponents.
This leaves us wondering whether any buyer should show true interest in Fisker, especially when one of its earliest advocates no longer shows any interest in the struggling automaker.
