Tesla Motors launched its first Supercharging station in Czech Republic as part of larger E.ON station for all-kinds of electric cars.

Humpolec station includes 6 Supercharging stalls and:

  • two 44 kW stand-alone CHAdeMO fast chargers
  • two 50 kW multi-standard fast chargers (CHAdeMO, CCS Combo, 3-phase Type 2 43 kW)
  • two 3-phase Type 2 22 kW (one with schuko 16A/230V and one with 3-phase CEE 32A/400V)

All spots are free to use.

The Triple Chargers are all 43/44 kW. (So no 50 kW) Right now it is free.

So it would not be a giant leap for Tesla to install CHAdeMO and CCS combo at all of their locations in the future and make money charging EV owners that don’t drive a Tesla. You could just buy a Tesla Pass for long trips…

Only the Supercharger half is owned and operated by Tesla, the restand the whole concept is e.on owned.

Worldwide supercharger total is now 684 operational with 25 under construction and 18 in the permit stage.

U.S. figures are 285 operational, 15 under construction and 11 being permitted.
