U.S. Best Lease Deals – March 2016 (CarsDirect data)

No more 2015 model year plug-ins were listed among the best lease deals by the CarsDirect in March, but a 2017 model made the tally.

As always, the Chevrolet Spark EV opens the rank with $139/month monthly cost - far ahead of any other model, at least if you can find the Spark EV at dealership near you.

The Volkswagen e-Golf is back in spot #2, to the rank at a $224 average monthly cost, followed by the two Ford extended range cars - the C-Max Energi and Fusion Energi.

The Kia Soul EV checks in at $255/month, and for the first time ever we see 2017 Chevrolet Volt - $299, basically on par with the previous 2016 offer, but with a few more standard features added the offering.

"The 2017 Volt has barely arrived and we’re already seeing deals emerge. Curiously, offers on the 2016 and 2017 model are nearly identical. In select regions, either can be leased from $299 for 39 months with $500 due at signing (15,000 miles/year). GM and competitive lessees can get an extra $500 that turns this into a zero-down lease.

If you prefer to buy, there’s a limited-time $1,000 conquest bonus available nationally through March 14 for anyone coming from a 1999 or newer non-GM vehicle. The offer can be combined with a $1,000 rebate in select states for up to $2,000 in available savings. The extra cash, as well as the features lease, are available in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Outside of the above regions, the 2017 Volt LT can be leased from $299 for 39 months with $3,029 at signing. Current lessees of another GM vehicle or that of a competing automaker can get a $500 bonus as well."
