Fan-Made Nissan LEAF Commercial

We’ve seen dozens of fan-made Tesla commercials, but this one doesn’t focus on the electric automaker, but rather on Nissan and its electric LEAF.

It’s clearly a direct rip of the Chevrolet Cruze diesel advertisement (see below), but still it seems more fitting when applied to the LEAF and the added touch at the end with the rollerblader is creative too.

Here’s the pitch line Chevrolet applies to the commercial:

“The Chevrolet Cruze Diesel gets the best gas mileage of a non-hybrid, so no one at the gas station will know your name.”

Sorry, but I find this to be rather crappy.. They didn’t do anything besides stitch together some clips from other commercials. There was nothing creative here at all.

I agree. But I am always maddened by commercials like the original – they are always talking about a high-mileage gas (or diesel) car. What’s even worse is that Nissan made a similar commercial for their Altima, and they sell the Leaf!

How about a commercial like this actually done for the Leaf (or Spark EV, or even the Volt!)

The funny part is the ads end with Nissan logo that says “Shift” at the bottom…

LOL… Nothing to shift in the LEAF.

If they talk about “shifting” in terms of generation, then LEAF is certainly NOT a revolution car…

_Sift to “D” and deliver max. torque!

_Shift to “B” to be eco-friendly with regen breaking that recycles energy to lead the pack as the red light turns green.

        I wouldn’t call the “hockey puck” a “shifter”… =)

Well, I always liked the Cruze Diesel commerical.
