The U.S. has so many spectacular electric motorcycles – both production and racing – that Europe can’t really brag. But Europe has the diamond – the Energica EGO from Modena, Italy.

100% Italian Racing Bloodlines
0% Emissions

The worlds first all electric superbike bread from the heartland of Italian racing legend. The Energica EGO.
Designed and built by the same people that have designed and engineered racing performance from Formula One Racing to Le Mans 24h for over 40 years.

This Italian machine from CRP Group looks sweet and has stellar performance with top speed limited to 240 km/h (150 mph) and 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in less than 3 seconds. Good rival for Mission RS, huh? Even its weight is similar – 258 kg / 569 lbs.

According to manufacturer, we should see Energica EGO on the market in 2015 with a price tag from €22,000 to €25,000 + VAT or $30,000 to $34,000 + taxes.

Range with the 11.7 kWh pack will be at 93 miles @50 mph, but can drop to 30 miles on the track or grow to 120 miles if a 37 mph turtle is on-board. The 100 kW motor with 195 Nm of torque encourages to drive dynamically, so rather 70 miles of range will be more accurate.

“150 kM @ 80 km/h – 190 km @ 60 km/h – 100 km @ 100 km/h – 50 km ON RACE TRACK”

In terms of charging, CRP Group, like Voxan Motors, is going forward with Combined Charging System aka Combo 2 in Europe, which means quick charge will be possible in 30 minutes. Standard charging via on-board charger takes 3.5 hour.

I think the machine weight is grossly incorrect…117lbs? Possible for the battery module(s) but not for the entire bike.

Yo Boss, you better check your KG – LB and Euro – $ calculators.

Fixed…Thanks for catching the conversion errors
