Tesla CEO Takes Questions From Model S Owners In Texas While Promoting Direct Sales To Legislators

After finishing up an extended talk at the 2015 NAIAS in Detroit, Tesla CEO Elon Musk hopped a flight to the Texas State Capitol (and rendezvoused with a prototype Model X)  to try and convince the government there of the benefits of his company’s direct sales model.

Joining Musk was about 100 Model S owners.

Thanks to David Matthis and Raz Freeman’s videographing we have some footage of the event,  where another impromptu Q&A session between Model S owners and the CEO broke out..

The main question was asked right off the top – How did it go in there?

“It seemed to go pretty well, I mean it seemed well received.”

The battle will not be won quickly or easily in Texas.

I chuckled at the guy that put velvet ropes around his Tesla.

I think that was the Model X.

LOL, you’re right. Still makes me chuckle. I think of “VIP” when I see a velvet rope.

Body language indicates the meeting did not go well, but that was to be expected.

Body guards would be prudent, when you’re imposing disrupting (but positive) change on a single industry. When you’re juggling 3, even more so…

Yeah the two unsmiling guys with the lapel pins are probably Texas state guards while the shorted bearded guy is probably a Tesla employee, and the blonde woman is the PR person.

I’d suggest Elon invest in a bullet proof vest to wear when he’s out and about.

You do know that the murder rate in california is higher than texas, and that it is very low in Austin compared to many places Elon travels.

“murder rate”

thats cool, any random bozo could have a gun and simply shoot him, murder rate percentage per state is absolutely irrelevant lol

Is not because crime is because in Texas EVs are anti American devil.

That’s not Elon, it’s one of the droids he made to be able to be in every part of the world without leaving his home.

And if he would be in public he would have the Iron Man suite under his regular suit (slim fit version 3.0, super comfy) and a metal and projectile repelling force field around his head.

But you wouldn’t recognize Elon anyway since his anti-aging and even age reversing gene therapy has worked its magic so he is 20 once again.
Well he and most of his clones are around that age. And just in case he has made a back up of his mind in an A.I. super computer set on world domination even if every other of his solutions would fail.
